7 Songs To Take A Drive To

There are a few things in life that can help me de-stress no matter what. 1) A bubble bath 2) A large glass of wine (obviously) 3) A drive. Maybe it is because I don't have to commute for work, but sometimes there is nothing that clears my head more then just taking a nice long drive with the perfect playlist. I'm feeling a little home sick right  now and would do anything to be driving along the coast of Big Sur, CA. I've included a list of 7 songs; some new, and some old, that are the perfect songs to listen to and just drive. So if you're going on a trip this weekend, or wine just isn't cutting it, add these to your playlist.

3 Songs To Get You Through Your Monday

After I heard the song edit by Flic Flac of Vance Joy's song Riptide (see post below), I knew I had to research this band further. Flic Flac is a band that is heard in clubs across Austria and is now making it over to the US. I've probably played Riptide over 100 times in the past 3 days, and I'm still not tired of it. Well, I strolled across Flic Flac's sound cloud page and found a few more gems I've added to my playlists. These 3 songs have made my Monday fly by. So if you're still behind your desk at work like me, put on some head phones and thank me for making your day just that much better.

1. Clara Luzia- The Waving Ones Are Us (FlicFlac Edit)  2. Milky Chance- Stolen Dance (Flic Flac Edit) 3. Parov Stelar- The Mojo Radio Gang (Flic Flac Edit)

Perfect Saturday pool party jam right here. Flume is on fire with his remixes. 5. Da Ya Think I'm Sexy-Rod Stewart (Zimmer Remix)

Song of the Day: Well Absolutely- Body Language

I thought I liked this song a lot, then I watched the music video. Now I love this song. I'm not sure how I'm just now hearing about the band "Body Language" but I really like their sound. This is one of those feel good jams that I could listen to all day. My prediction for if this band is going to make it big soon is, well absolutely.

3 Incredibly Sexy Songs You Seriously Need

 1. Banks- Warm Water (Snakeships Remix) This might be the sexiest song I've heard in a long time. Good job Snakehips, good job. Pour yourself a glass of wine, or two, for this one. 2. A Moor- Raleigh Ritchie Something about Raleigh Ritchie's voice is just mesmerizing. Great talent. 3. Thinking About You- Frank Ocean (Ryan Hemsworth Remix) Obviously this original Frank Ocean song 'Thinking About You," was great in itself, but I love the spin Ryan Hemsworth took on this.

Song Of The Day: Bob Seger- Atmosphere

Atmosphere always has and always will be one of my favorite hip-hop groups. Their songs "Sunshine," "You," "Yesterday," "The Best Day," are all classssics. I'm surprised Atmosphere isn't more popular, but then again I kind of like it. Atmosphere just released a single called "Bob Seger," and all I have to say is, it's about damn time. I'm hoping the release of this single is insinuating that a fourth album is coming?  Well in the meantime,  I'll be enjoying this new single and thanking Atmosphere for still creating great hip-hop.

Song Of The Day: Spinoza- Generationals

Say a big hello to the indie rock duo, Generationals. There are certain songs we each have in our lives, that when they are played they bring you back to a certain moment. For me,  Spinoza instantly reminds me of my roots of California. While my heart may be here in Texas, I sometimes long for the taste of something familiar. Spinoza is not just a glimpse back into the world of beach days and blonde surfer bros, but a time of simplicity. The time before bills and working 8 to 5. I can sit here and say I'm the most happy and content I've ever been, but it's still nice to have a reminder of the life I have back in California. Don't ask me why, but Spinoza just does that for me. Even though the Generationals are from Louisana, they have a very "California indie band vibe" to them. The music video to "Spinoza" is also well worth watching.

Song Of The Day: Jubel- Klingande

There are days when I will search and search through music and not find anything. I can waste hours on the internet trying to find that perfect song, and come out empty handed. But then there are the days when I find a gem amongst the regurgitated versions of the rest that makes it all worth it. Well that is exactly what the song "Jubel" is by the french duo Klingande. I dare you to be in a bad mood when you listen to this song. I've had it on repeat for the past hour. Combine a little jazz and a little house music, and you come out with this beautiful masterpiece.

Passion Pit makes a catchy and flawless remix of Portugal. The Man's song "Purple Yellow Red & Blue," without ruining the already great song. This song is a must have on your summer playlist.

Song Of The Day: Dreams- Fleetwood Mac (Gigamesh Remix)

1. Fleetwood Mac-Dreams (Gigamesh Remix)
Fleetwood Mac is obviously a classic group. You really wouldn't think any of their songs could get any better, but then I heard this Gigamesh remix. It's goosebump worthy and the perfect song to play to get you through your Monday. My one suggestion while listening to this song would be: play it loud. It's just that much better.
