Song Of The Day: Dreams- Fleetwood Mac (Gigamesh Remix)

1. Fleetwood Mac-Dreams (Gigamesh Remix)
Fleetwood Mac is obviously a classic group. You really wouldn't think any of their songs could get any better, but then I heard this Gigamesh remix. It's goosebump worthy and the perfect song to play to get you through your Monday. My one suggestion while listening to this song would be: play it loud. It's just that much better. If you're at work, put on some headphones. I guarantee you'll get a whole lot more productive.

Song Of The Day: RUFUS- Desert Night

Say hello to the "indie dance" group from Sydney, RUFUS. This Ausi trio really has come to fame in the past year. Their known for their sold out parties in NYC, in front of band members from LCD Soundsystem, Holy Ghost! and RAC. Their song "Desert Night" is incredibly mesmerizing. I expect big things from this group in the future.

Song Of The Day: Drake- The Motion

Drake's new album "Nothing Was The Same," will be released September 17th, and in the meantime he has released a few songs for a sneak peak. I've never been a die hard Drake fan, but his song "The Motion" really caught my attention. It's catchy and a little sexy, there is never any harm in that. Keep em coming Drake.

Throwback Thursday: Music Sounds Better With You- Stardust

Rewind to 1998 to a dance house in France, and this would be the song that would be blasting through the speakers. Stardust was a French house music group that made their way to the top of the U.S. Billboard Dance Music list in the late 90s. Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter was part of Stardust before his rise to stardom. I love this song for a lot of reasons, but mostly because it is the sound of real house music before it became overly processed and before "dubstep" was ever considered music.God Bless Bangalter for keeping the real music alive. If only more house music could still sound like this.

Song Of The Day: Doin' It Right (Wolf Saga Remix)- Daft Punk vs. Panda Bear

I would usually be opposed to any remix artist who would try to mess with any song from Daft Punks new album "Random Access Memories." However, this Wolf Saga remix of "Doin' It Right" might even be better then the original. Wolf Saga adds a more relaxed spin to it that makes it a perfect song to start out your Monday.

Song Of The Week: You & Me- Disclosure (Flume Remix)

Just unbelievable.

Song Of The Day: Bad (Remix)- Wale ft. Rihanna

I'm usually not into the R&B/Rap craze you hear on the radio. Same thing, different artist. I'll admit that Wale's sound has that typical sound but his song "Lotus Flower" really impressed me, and now his new remix "Bad" featuring Rihanna is another song I've added to my playlist. This song definitely isn't one of my top favorite songs or anything, but it's a good jam.

Song Of The Day: Forbidden Fruit- J.Cole (ft. Kendrick Lamar)

Mos Def and Tailb Kweli have always been two of my favorite hip-hop artists. They have a real sound and always bring something unique to the table. When I first heard the song "Forbidden Fruit" it took be back to the Def and Kweli days. Kendrick Lamar is a newer artist on my radar, but I'm loving what I've been hearing so far. This mix with J.Cole has a funky and low key sound that I'm really loving right now. Check out J.Cole's new album available on iTunes.

Song of The Day: Agape-Bear's Den

I'd say Bear's Den is a beautiful mix of Bon Iver, Mumford and Sons, and Kings of Leon. Although their pretty low on the music radar, I foresee a great future for these guys. Their song "Agape" has been on repeat for me these past couple days.

Song Of The Day: Notorious Insanity- Jamiroquai/Notorious BIG (1996)

Anyone who knows me well knows I am all about good vibes. There is nothing I love more than a perfect ambiance, a great glass of wine, and some good vibin music. It's amazing what a little music and candles can do. Well friends,  I present to you my new favorite "good vibe" song of the week. I have no idea what it is with me and biggie smalls remixes, but I have at least 4 or 5 that are always my "go-tos."

A Daily Reminder

Everyone needs to watch this video. It was a reality check I strongly needed.

Zach Sobiech was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 14. This video is a short documentary of his life during the past 5 years and how he truly lived each day to the fullest.

I got upset today because I woke up with a huge zit on my chin and because my dad was playing annoying music in the car. Wow. I honestly can disgust myself sometimes. WE ARE SO LUCKY. We live in a world that is obsessed with THINGS. Things, things, things. A nicer car, a tighter body, a larger paycheck, and better instagram pictures for god sakes. We are searching and searching for happiness in the world, when it is right in front of us staring us straight in the face. Happiness is all around us.  Happiness is the people who love us, the roof over our head, and the memories we create. I am guilty, along with millions of other people of being so critical of everyone and everything. God has blessed me with this life, and it is time I start being more grateful. It is so easy to get caught up into the worldly ways of our time. But if we can make a conscious effort to appreciate each day, I think our world and our attitudes would be a lot different. We have this perception grounded into our brains since birth that there is a certain way to live our lives. Our entire lives revolve around creating this "ideal big picture" of what we want our lives to be. What I realized today is that we all need to start appreciating the things that may seem little, because later on they will be the big things.

Zach wrote a song before he died called "Clouds." It's actually really good. You can download it on iTunes for $.99.
RIP Zach Sobiech. What a beautiful life you made.
